2019 was a big year for us. We revamped the software with Ricochet 3.0, pushed a massive design overhaul, evolved our branding, and expanded into new markets. It’s going to be a tough year to beat, but we think 2020 can be even better.
We are on the verge of launching our first official iPad app. With dozens of new features and industry-leading functionality, Ricochet for iPad is going to be the most functional and efficient way to run almost any consignment operation. We’re super excited, to say the least.
So what does that mean for 2020? We have a few things in mind.
We continue to strive to be the most innovative and comprehensive consignment solution available.
We’ve taken a lot of big strides in the past few years. Now that the core of the software has been redesigned and rebuilt, we are starting to strategically plan features and functionality to perfect consignment software. This means we can finally start working on a lot of the little projects and features many of our users have been asking for for years.
We also have a few goals for 2020. Some big, some small.
Launch a more comprehensive web store experience.
Ecommerce is absolutely a key function for consignment stores. We strongly believe that having a strong online presence is essential for success in this day and age. We are working with a few third-party integrations to see which is the best fit.
Make the software 100% user-accessible.
We’ve been receiving some great feedback from many users that they love the latest design and visual updates to the software, but there are still many areas where buttons are too small, the text is too difficult to read, and other functions are a little difficult to accomplish. Making sure that every single Ricochet user can use the software effectively is incredibly important to us. Designing Ricochet to be 100% web-accessible is a strong 2020 goal for our team.
Build a better consignor & vendor experience.
Consignors are the cornerstone of the resale industry. When a consignor or vendor has a bad experience with a store, they may never come back. Establishing a good first impression is key. We are working on some really cool ways to empower your consignors and vendors even more with some powerful functionality. Everything from and iPhone app to mobile item entry is being brainstormed by our team. We will keep you updated as things develop.
What are we working on next?
There’s a lot, and this is just a sneak peek. Every single function and feature always affects something else, so it’s really hard to estimate when and how frequently we can push updates. But this list is a simple showcase of what we have going on at the moment.
